Jets strength coach Sal Alosi tripped Miami Dolphins cornerback Nolan Carroll, who was running down on a punt on Sunday.
“I actually spoke to [Alosi] on the plane prior to us taking off,” said Miami Dolphins coach Tony Sparano. “I know I spoke to him, he called me. I have no idea what he did with Nolan (Carroll), no idea. So, if he spoke to Nolan (Carroll) I wouldn’t know that right now.
“To be honest with you it’s out of my hands…it really is. It’s in a million other people’s hands right now but not in mine. I don’t like what happened because a player could’ve gotten hurt, seriously hurt.
“I’ve never seen [that happen before]. So, I mean I’ve never seen it. I can’t explain it.”
