What I saw with the Hall injury . . .

Morris County – As you know by now, Jets star running back Breece Hall went down with a groin injury in Monday’s practice.

It happened to occur right in front of where I was standing. When covering practices, there are a lot of places along the 100-yard field you can stand.

Hall caught a swing pass in the left flat from QB Geno Smith, who did a good job recognizing a blitz and getting the ball to the wide-open running back.

Hall took off down the left sideline, and then pulled up about 20 yards into the run, holding his groin.

Not allowed to repeat what players and coaches say in the field. That is against the media rules, but he yelled out a couple of words in frustration after going down.

While on the ground, Hall grabbed his right groin, so that seems to be the side the injury is on.

He was attended to by trainers for a minute or so, and then got up and walked gingerly to be attended to elsewhere.

Not trying to be a doctor here, but it would be shocking if you saw him in action again until the opener in Tennessee. It would be surprising if you saw him in any more training camp practices or preseason games.
