You wonder if there is going to be a mixed crowd at MetLife Stadium on Sunday for the Jets-Philadelphia Eagles game.
The Eagles have a strong fanbase, and many of those fans are from South Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania, geographic areas not that far from the Jets’ home field.
“As Coach Saleh said, MetLife has been lit. Let’s keep it that way this Sunday,” tweeted Jets owner Woody Johnson on Friday.
You can understand the Jets owner wanting to keep it that way, but the secondary ticket market might have a say in that.
This isn’t meant to be any kind of shot at Jets fans who sold their tickets. Not at all. In a bad economy, some might look to make some quality coin on the secondary ticket market, especially with Aaron Rodgers out for the regular season. It’s quite possible some Jets fans bought tickets to this game after the team traded for Rodgers.
