On Monday, the Jets announced their new uniforms, and somebody tweeted: “The wait is over. Introducing our new uniforms.”
I’m not going to write about the uniforms. It’s not something I’m that interested in.
But a lot of people are, so I respect that, however, I have nothing to add on that front. I don’t know much about fashion.
But it’s fair to say when you hear somebody say, “The wait is over,” many fans would love that to pertain to their playoff drought.
I am not being flippant, just keeping it real.
When it comes to that 13-year playoff drought, tied with the Buffalo Sabres as the longest current streak in professional sports, it must end.
This announcement of new uniforms is fine, but now it’s time to move on and focus on “making the main thing the main thing.”
And that is breaking the 13-year playoff drought.
