After the Jets’ 27-24 win over Atlanta on Sunday at MetLife Stadium, Aaron Glenn expressed great pride in his team’s resiliency through tough times.
“I look at these guys never quit and they get bashed,” Glenn said. “Everybody on this team gets bashed for everything.”
Where is “everybody on this team gets bashed for everything?”
However, if they are, Glenn is fine with it.
“It’s okay, because we know exactly what we’re trying to do,” Glenn said. “And we’re going to continue to just block out all the noise and keep our focus straight ahead on that
vision that we got on what we’re trying to be as a team.”
If they are getting ‘bashed for everything,” it’s certainly not by the team’s beatwriters. It’s different than the past on this front.
But some might argue that when a team is 3-9, there were perhaps some things that warrant criticism on the road to that record.
Like some might bash their run defense today, with Falcons running back Bijan Robinson rushing 23 times for 143 yards.
But that would probably be unfair since they won the game, and that is the most important thing.
But after losses, and there have been nine of them, come criticism is warranted, don’t you think?
But even if there has been some criticism of the Jets throughout the course of this season, some might argue that “everybody on this team gets bashed for everything” is a little strong.
