While it will be hard for him to make regular roster, he’s improved a lot . . .

You have to give tight end Zack Kuntz credit.

The Penn State and Old Dominion product, who spent the last two seasons on the Jets’ practice squad, quietly had a solid camp.

While he didn’t get his number called a lot, it was clear from watching him in Florham Park this summer, he’s improved the consistency of his hands.

His first couple of training camps, his hands were a little inconsistent, but this summer, he’s caught the ball much more efficiently.

On Tuesday, he caught a fade route on the left side of the end zone from quarterback Brady Cook.

At 6-8, he can be quite a weapon on this play call.

How many defenders are going to out-reach him on a fade route thrown accurately?

While it will be hard for him to make the regular roster, putting him back out on the practice squad again, as insurance, in case there is a tight end injury, might be the way to go with the Camp Hill, PA native.
