I just read a headline on the internet – “New York Jets Fans Boo Pick of Defensive Tackle Sheldon Richardson.”
Who cares?
Are the seats in Radio City Music Hall filled with scouts during the draft?
I have no issue with fans expressing themselves. We still have First Amendment rights in this country.
But for anybody in the press to pretend that the fan reaction to a pick means anything, is misguided.
If you are a GM, you can’t run a draft based on public opinion polls.
