He can help them.
But you know it’s hard to think outside the box.
They picked Kyle Wilson in the first round, so he needs to play a lot.
That is just how it works.
What if Cole is better, right now, based on his experience?
It doesn’t matter. You get picked in the first round, you play.
I think Wilson has special talent, and did some good things in the opener. I think he has star potential.
But to keep a guy in the bench (Cole), who makes so many plays in practice and the preseason, is short-sighted.
Maybe he’s the best guy to cover Wes Welker this week.
If he is, we will never find out.
It doesn’t work that way in the NFL.
