Why did the Jets bounce Graham Harrell and opt for Brady Quinn as their QB insurance policy?
I can think of a few reasons.
Quinn has a better arm, more NFL game experience and much better size.
Quinn has 20 career NFL starts and Harrell has none. Quinn has appeared in 24 NFL games, and Harrell just four.
Harrell has a slight build by NFL QB standards (around 6-1, 215). Quinn is 6-3, 235 block of granite. The last thing the Jets need is another QB injury. There is no guarantee about anyone staying healthy, but Quinn has a much more sturdy build than Harrell.
