While the Vikings likely won’t be distracted as a team by the Brett Favre-Jen Sterger scandal, perhaps the quarterback will be.
“Brad Childress this week says it will not be a distraction to the team,” said Boomer Esiason of CBS. “But how about a distraction to their quarterback and his personal life? I think it will be very difficult for him to deal with. The other aspect of this, the NFL is now saying they are investigating this. I want to know when is that investigation going to end, after the season is over so Brett Favre can retire? Or will it be done in the next four- or-so weeks? That will definitely negatively impact the Minnesota Vikings because they potentially could lose Brett Favre if there is disciplinary action taken upon him by the Commissioner.”
