Are some Jets fans panicking too much about this position?

If you aren’t a fantasy football, you could argue the Jets have done a solid job in free agency so far.

They got two offensive line starters, John Simpson and Morgan Moses (in a trade), two huge defensive tackles (Javon Kinlaw and Leki Fotu) to help fix their substandard interior run defense, a veteran backup QB (Tyrod Taylor) and a reserve defensive back (Isaiah Oliver) who can backup at all five secondary positions. They also re-signed their talented kicking duo.

And they’re not done.

Many fans are upset the Jets haven’t added a receiver. Don’t worry, they will, but who was the last receiver to lead his team to a championship? How many first-round receivers or big-money free-agent receivers helped the New England Patriots win their six Super Bowl championships?

If you have an elite QB, who can see the full field, go through his progressions and throw with anticipation, and he has competent receivers, you can win.

Don’t worry Jets fans, the sun will come up tomorrow at the receiver position.

When they open training camp, there will be plenty of talent in that room, without having to spend $92 million with $50 million in guarantees on one player.
