Would be interesting to hear Glenn’s answer to 2nd part of question:

Florham Park – At the last two Jets’ OTA practices open to the media, defensive end Michael Clemons was not present

ESPN’s Rich Cimini asked Aaron Glenn about that, and the Jets’ coach wasn’t thrilled with the question.

“You just haven’t seen him today because he was just not out there today,” Glenn said. “So, he’s been here, just like the rest of the guys. And listen, I said it before, it’s not mandatory. But the other day I said we had 100% participation. So, I don’t want to paint that narrative that he hasn’t been here, so to me that’s an incorrect question to ask.”

Some would argue it wasn’t an “incorrect question to ask,” but Glenn felt that way, and certainly shut it down quickly.

And since these workouts are voluntary, coaches can’t criticize players for absences without being reprimanded by the league or the union.

But to be honest, I would have loved to hear Glenn answer the other part of Cimini’s question about Clemons – “What do you envision for him as a potential role this year?”

This part went unanswered.

Not saying Glenn avoided that on purpose. Often with two-part questions, the person answering forgets the second part. This is very common.

But it would be quite interesting to hear Glenn’s take on the skill set of his fellow Texas A&M Aggie, who some feel must improve his consistency.
