Cortland – Mark Sanchez throwing a Pick Six to DE Ziggy Ansah in Detroit last night was inexcusable.
But you could make a strong argument the play should have been called back.
The player Sanchez was looking for on the screen, FB Tommy Bohanon, was tackled by DT C.J. Mosley, attempting to get off the line.
So Sanchez was looking for a target who was on the ground.
This should have been a penalty.
Like I said, it’s no excuse for the horrible throw, but the touchdown probably should have been nullified.
