Jets waive injured Davis

The New York Jets have signed guard Chet Teofilo and waived
guard Marlon Davis (injured). The announcement was made by Jets General Manager Mike
Tannenbaum.
Teofilo (G/6-3/329/University of California/Chula Vista, CA) signed as an
undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys on Apr. 24, 2010, and was waived on
June 22, 2010. In two seasons at the University of California, he made eight
starts in 16 games. Teofilo moved to the offensive line as a sophomore after
spending his red-shirt freshman year as a defensive lineman.
Davis (G/6-2/309/Alabama/Columbus, GA) signed with the Jets as a free agent on
May 13, 2010. Davis, originally signed with the Cleveland Browns as an undrafted
free agent on May 1, 2009, before being waived Sept. 1, 2009. He played four
years for the University of Alabama and started 26-of-38 games. He suffered a quad injury early in camp.
