On Friday’s injury report, the Las Vegas Raiders listed standout left tackle Kolton Miller as doubtful, so he likely won’t play against the Jets. He has a shoulder injury.
Considering how dominant the Jets pass rush has been, this is a terrible injury for the Raiders, especially considering they are starting a rookie QB, Aidan O’Connell.
A rookie QB, without his trusted blindside protector, is far from ideal for the Raiders, especially with Bryce Huff, Jermaine Johnson, John Franklin-Myers and company coming to town.
Justin Herron, a former sixth-round pick of New England, is listed as the backup left tackle. So either he starts at left tackle, or they move one of their right tackles, Jermaine Eluemunor or Thayer Munford, to the left side.
But any way you slice it, the Miller injury is a bad one for the Raiders, and will likely benefit the Jets in this game.
