Cortland – Kellen Clemens is still a Jet.
Even with Mark Brunell now on the roster, and the likely #2 quarterback.
It seems the Jets are keeping Clemens around for now in case they suffer an injury at quarterback.
He was asked what it’s like being a human insurance policy.
“That part is getting old,” Clemens said.
But Clemens is stuck right now, and there is nothing he can do about it.
“I have no say in the matter,” Clemens said. “I can just control how I play on the field.”
Clemens is entering camp with the mindset that he’s still the #2 quarterback.
“I feel like I’m walking into camp as the #2,” Clemens said. “That is my assessment. I haven’t been told that.”
And unfortunately for Kellen, he probably is not going to be told that.
