The Jets are coming off a 6-10 season.
Mike DeVito feels Rex Ryan can get them back to respectability.
“The guys in that locker room have nothing but respect for him,” DeVito said on SiriusXM. “Guys want to play for him.
He’s definitely a player’s coach. He is a guy you want to go out there and play hard for him. He wants to do what is best for players – taking care of us on the practice field. He really cares about the guys who play for him. If anybody can get us out of the hole we are in, it’s Rex.”
I know some of you might say, “what do you expect him to say?”
I generally don’t like to run, “what do you expect him to say,” quotes.
But I think there is credence to what DeVito said about guys playing hard for Rex and that he takes care of his players.
