The Jets had an interest in former Atlanta Falcons executive Dave Caldwell for their GM job.
Caldwell interviewed with the Jets earlier this week.
A couple of days ago, Caldwell took the Jacksonville Jaguars’ GM job.
Well, perhaps, Jets fans are happy he went elsewhere, in retrospect.
Why?
The first person Caldwell will interview for the Jaguars’ head coaching spot is St. Louis Rams offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer.
Schottenheimer wasn’t a fan favorite while he was the Jets’ offensive coordinator.
Not that Schotteheimer would have been a Jets’ coaching candidate if Caldwell came to Florham Park, but Gang Green fans can’t be impressed with the thinking of the new Jacksonville GM.
