Maybe Broncos and Jets can do some business Dan Leberfeld

Denver might need something the Jets can provide.

The Broncos could be in the market for an veteran backup quarterback as insurance behind starter Case Keenum.

Right now they have two inexperienced players in Chad Kelly and Paxton Lynch.

“I’m not going to tell you we’re definitely going to stand pat, but I’m not telling you we’re going (in) that direction, either,” Broncos GM John Elway told 103.5 FM in Denver. “We’ve got to have confidence that that guy that’s going to be the backup can play and win football games,” Elway said. “And so that’s why we’re still in that process of trying to see if we’ve got that guy behind Case.”

So maybe the Broncos and Jets can make a trade involving Gang Green QB Teddy Bridgewater.

And perhaps the Jets can get a pass-rusher in return.
