In the opinion of Daily News writer Manish Mehta, the Jets should pay cornerback Darrelle Revis whatever he wants.
“Lost in all the recent discussion about the “reallocation rule” is this truth: Darrelle Revis is a transcendent, once-in-a-generation player,” wrote Mehta. “The Jets can circumvent the rule that limits the amount of fully guaranteed money in Revis’ base salary easy enough: Pay him a large signing bonus.”
