In the past, when the Jets were getting PR, it seemed like executives tried to make up for it with a big splash move.
A perfect example was the trade-up for DT Dwayne Robertson in 2003, after the Jets had a rough off-season.
It seemed like Mike Tannenbaum followed the “Big Splash Theory” at times during his tenure as GM, as well.
John Idzik should not fall into this trap.
Make sound football decisions, and don’t worry about PR.
Just follow your board, and ignore the white noise.
