I don’t know which Jets scout was checking out wide receiver Robby Anderson at Temple, but the guy deserves a raise.
The undrafted free agent has been outstanding in training camp and the preseason.
He has soft, natural hands and catches almost everything thrown to him. He also has loose hips, which allow him to get in-and-out of his breaks with ease. He does a nice job of climbing the ladder and high-pointing passes.
On top of all that, he’s 6-3 and has 4.34 speed, and he plays to his timed speed.
If you didn’t know who was who on the Jets’ practice field, and you saw Anderson, you might say to yourself, “Was that guy a first or second round pick?”
That’s how impressive he’s been.
Perhaps he wasn’t drafted because he’s a little lean, or because he left Temple for a bit for personal reasons, but this guy looks like the real deal.
And whoever scouted him, deserves praise.
