IMO, another thing that would improve Jets football culture

The Jets’ football culture broke last season. That is well documented.

Their 2017 off-season has been about fixing it.

They released some hired guns, added some good leaders, and made some coaching staff changes.

But something else they must do is truly embrace competition at every position, like they do in New England and Seattle.

No more window-dressing competitions; keep the best 53 players and play the best 22. Stop the roster politics that were apparent in past years.

Don’t force high draft picks on the field before they are ready, or keep guys in the lineup based on their salary or past reputation.

They must embrace true competition like the Patriots and Seahawks do.

Don’t just say it, do it! Actions speak louder than words.

Doing this will also help improve their football culture.
