Darrelle Revis to the San Francisco 49ers makes an awful lot of sense.
Unlike most potential suitors, the 49ers are willing to make the trade, even if they don’t sign Revis long-term (according to Yahoo’s Jason Cole).
This makes a trade a lot easier.
The 49ers have so many draft picks (15, not including upcoming compensatory selections), that they are willing to risk dealing for Revis as a potential one-year rental.
The 49ers need a #1 corner.
We will see what happens, but if the 49ers aren’t major players in the Revis-sweepstakes, it would be a shock.
