The NFL owners voted this week to make appearances on “Hard Knocks” mandatory for NFL teams.
Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians thinks this is very unfair.
“I think it’s a total distraction, and I think it’s an embarrassment to players,” Arians said on SiriusXM NFL Radio. “I think when players are released, some of the things that are said between coaches and players are too personal, and nobody else’s business.”
Arians is right.
Players being cut shouldn’t be televised. It’s a tough moment for the player, and it should be kept private.
