Chicago means a lot to Rex

Florham Park – Rex Ryan thinks that homecoming games for players give them extra motivation.

So the same theory likely applies to him.

While his father, James David “Buddy” Ryan, was an assistant with the Chicago Bears, Rex went to high school in the Chicago area.

“It will be special for me to be standing on that sideline, where I was a ballboy for a ton of years.” Ryan said on Friday. “That’s pretty amazing.  Now I’m a head coach. That’s pretty amazing.

“I went to Stevenson High School, which may be the largest high school in the country. I loved it there. (Some) high school friends are going to be at the game.”
