New York Post columnist Andrew Marchand clearly doesn’t value Aaron Rodgers’ opinion on the COVID-19 vaccine and thinks the QB should stay in his lane.
On Tuesday, Rodgers challenged Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, whom he calls “Mr Pfizer,” to a vaccine debate. Kelce is a paid commercial sportsman for Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. Rodgers isn’t a fan of the vaccine.
“Mr. Pfizer said he didn’t think he’d be in a vax war with me. This ain’t a war, homie, this is conversation,” Rodgers said on ESPN this week. “But if you want to have some sort of duel, debate, have me on the podcast. Come on the show! Let’s have a conversation.”
In a column on Thursday, Marchand called Rodgers a “shock jock” and clearly feels the QB is over his skis talking about vaccines.
“Rodgers is, of course, entitled to his opinions, but it takes some hubris to think that we should really care because he can throw a football better than nearly everyone ever,” wrote Marchand.
Marchand also ripped ESPN’s Adam Schefter for tweeting: “The Potential Next Great American Debate”
“ESPN pays Schefter around $9 million per year, but he needed to use some of that money to invest in a clue before hitting send on that one,” Marchand wrote.
Maybe Rodgers should challenge Marchand to a debate.
