After watching one practice of E.J. Manuel with the Buffalo Bills, and one practice Geno Smith with the New York Jets, the NFL Network’s Heath Evans gives the edge to Smith.
“I’m going to give the node to Geno,” Evans when asked by host Chris Rose who looked better. “Knowing the West Coast system the way I know it. Both the Jets and Bills are running a version of it. It’s very tough on the QB. The verbiage is very heavy. You have to get in the huddle and disperse it to the other ten guys. Geno just impressed me yesterday. The arm, we knew about – the zip on the throws we knew about. But really his command, watching guys respond to him. It was impressive.
“If you are talking about a complete practice, a complete performance in these two hour windows of time, Geno would get the nod from what I saw today from E.J. Manuel.”
