The Bills were eliminated from the playoffs last Sunday.
So some were wondering if Bills coach Doug Marrone was going to start young, developmental QB E.J. Manuel, in the team’s season finale, instead of veteran Kyle Orton.
“I can understand the question, but the game means a lot to me,” Marrone said. “We’re going to play the players who we feel give us the best chance to win. That’s just the way that I’m wired and that’s what my responsibility is to the team.”
Good for him.
That is the way it should be.
This isn’t the NBA Developmental League.
It’s the NFL.
