The Jets plan on signing free agent wide receiver David Nelson. The announcement was made by Kimberley Martin of Newsday.
“To shore up their depleted receiving corps, the Jets plan to sign former Bills wide receiver David Nelson, the source said,” wrote Martin for Newsday.
Nelson was with the Buffalo Bills from 2010-2012, but missed most of last season due to a knee injury.
Jets starting receiver Santonio Holmes hurt his hamstring in the Jets’ loss to Tennessee on Sunday, and is expected to miss the next couple of games.
