Florham Park – One of the stars of Jets training camp, if there is such a thing, is Gang Green’s new nickel back Buster Skrine.
Every time you turn around, he’s breaking up a pass.
The former Cleveland Brown, who the Jets signed in March, is a very aggressive player with top-shelf toughness.
He combines a feisty playing style with 4.4 speed, so there aren’t many receivers who can run away from him. And if a receiver gets a step on him with a creative move, he has excellent recovery speed.
His combination of toughness and speed, also makes him an ideal candidate to blitz quite a bit in Todd Bowles aggressive defense.
Skrine looks like a player who is going to help the Jets a great deal.
