Sam Darnold made a throw on Tuesday which is so important in the NFL.
Darnold had a completion to WR Robby Anderson on the left sideline for about 15 yards.
It was one of those back-shoulder timing routes. Cornerback Rashard Robinson was in tight coverage. Anderson made it look like he was going deep, and Darnold threw it to his back shoulder at about 15 yards for a completion.
You need to make these kind of throws all the time in the NFL, where receivers aren’t as wide open as they are in college.
And Darnold threw it perfectly.
