Indianapolis – Texas A&M pass rusher Demontre Moore bench-pressed 225 just 12 times today. That isn’t very good.
Clearly, he needs a lot of work in the weight room.
On top of that, there is a character concern – in 2011, he was arrested for possession of less than two ounces of marijuana.
So he’s got two issues that could make him slip.
“I made things a lot harder for myself,” Moore said.
Former Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller has turned into a mentor for Moore.
“He helped me grow up and realize some of my mistakes – we have a little brother, big brother relationship,” Moore said. “I talk to him constantly – we talk about this process and life in general.”
Moore is 6-4, 250, and projects to 3-4 OLB on the next level. He played the position his first couple of years in College Station, so he’s comfortable in that spot.
With the concerns, there is a chance he slips to the second round, and if he gets stronger, and stays on the straight-and-narrow, he could turn into a steal for some 3-4 team.
