Geno Smith had the best game of his young Jets career in the team’s win over Atlanta.
He finished 16-20 for 199 yards and three touchdown.
Marty Mornhinweg called a brilliant game, and Smith executed the offensive coordinator’s plan very effectively.
One part of Mornhinweg’s blueprint was to take advantage of the two undrafted rookie free agent linebackers starting for Sean Weatherspoon and Akeem Dent, and the Jets did just that. An example of this exploitation was all the damage the Jets’ tight ends did in this game.
Marty and Geno were very much on the same page in this game, and the results were impressive.
