The Jets have signed safety Emanuel Cook.
The announcement was made by Rich Cimini and Manish Mehta.
No announcement was made by the Jets or Jay Glazer, so it’s not official.
Cook, a South Carolina-product, who was in camp with the Jets the last two summers, is a big-time hitter.
He’s also in football shape after playing this past season for Hartford of the UFL.
He takes the roster spot of wide receiver Laveranues Coles, who was signed for some eclectic reason over the weekend, and then was inactive for the Jets-Pats game.
