The Jets have waived former USC center Kris O’Dowd, and have signed former Tennessee quarterback Matt Simms. The announcements were made by Bruce Speight.
Unfortunately for Dowd, he had a myriad of injuries at USC, and they have taken their toll on him.
Simms is a local prospect from Franklin Lakes, N.J., who attended the rookie mini-camp on a tryout basis.
