Geno Smith has made some pretty darn impressive throws in training camp so far.
There is no question he has a heck of an arm.
But there are some questions about his pocket presence, and since there are no sacks or tackling in camp, it’s hard to discern much about how he handles a pass rush.
We need to see him in games to get a better feel for where he’s at in his development.
“You’re never really going to know about [a quarterback] until he goes in a game and plays,” said Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter about young quarterbacks in general. “The preseason will be huge.”
