Q)Does (running back) Elijah McGuire have a fractured foot?
Todd Bowles – Jets Head Coach: Yes he does.
Q)How long will McGuire be out?
Bowles: No timetable right now.
Q)Will McGuire need surgery?
Bowles: I don’t know yet. We will see.
Q)What do you like about Alfred Morris (who was in Florham Park for a workout)?
Bowles: We are taking a look at a couple of guys today, just doing due diligence. No decision has been made one way or the other.
Q)Do you think you will add a running back?
Bowles: We may, we will see. We have enough right now. We have a couple of fullbacks that can do certain things. Depending on the roster, we may or may not.
Q)How tough is this situation for McGuire?
Bowles: Anytime someone gets hurt it is a tough break, but he is a hard worker and we expect him back as soon as he is ready.
Q)Is McGuire a candidate for short-term IR?
Bowles: I don’t know yet.
Q)Was McGuire’s injury non-contact?
Bowles: He just cut
Q)Could Thomas Rawls fill some of McGuire’s roles?
Bowles: Well, we will get the pads on. Obviously Rawls has been a heck of a player in Seattle and he came in the spring and he made an impression. He works hard, he has a great personality, he is very smart and he loves the game. Those are the types of players you like to coach. We just have to see him with the pads on and see how he progresses.
